Diving Lens Into 20L of Soda: Shooting McCafé's New Drink Range

Ten new drinks, one seriously dreamy rabbit hole.

I shot the stills and directed the film for McDonald's Australia's new McCafé drink range, "There's a Drink for That," created by the team at Wieden+Kennedy. Think glistening ice, clouds of creamy foam, and a whole rainbow of flavour dropped into a glass, all built to feel like a little escape from your day. On the motion set, we used a robot arm to dive the camera lens straight into the drinks, submerged it in tanks of soda, built coffee explosions using pressure pumps, spun real dragon fruit slices on a drill, and choreographed liquid explosions to make every ingredient feel alive on screen.

After what we achieved shooting Matcha, getting to do this across an entire range of ten was next level. Honestly, one of the most technically fun sets I've worked on.
